Reblochons Sold at Leclerc Recalled Throughout France are Contaminated by E.Coli Bacteria

A Savoie Reblochon stamped “Our regions have talent” is the subject of a product recall by Leclerc. Bacteria E. Coli was found there.
The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are getting cooler, no doubt: the season of raclettes and tartiflettes can begin.
Except that for some, it may be necessary to postpone the start of hostilities. Indeed, Reblochon de Savoie (traditional tartiflette cheese, therefore) sold at Leclerc is recalled.

Two references concerned
According to the site Consumer reminder, this is a reblochon de Savoie AOP “Our regions have talent”, sold in all Leclerc stores in France.
Two batches are affected:
- 5-268. Use-by date: 01/17/2026;
- 5-271. Expiry date: 01/20/2026.
The health mark is FR 74.145.050 EU.
They were sold between October 15 and 27, 2025.
Presence of E. Coli
If these cheeses are recalled, it is because the bacterium Escherichia coli shiga is toxigenic (or E. Coli) was found there.
Toxinogenic Escherichia coli shiga (STEC) can cause diarrhea, sometimes bloody, abdominal pain and vomiting, accompanied or not by fever, in the week following consumption of contaminated products.
If you have consumed this product and you have symptoms, you must therefore consult a doctor without delay.
But if within 15 days after consumption you have nothing, there is no need to consult.
Overall, it is children, the elderly or immunocompromised, pregnant women who are the most vulnerable to E. Coli.
A refund offered
If you have one of these reblochons in your fridge, you should definitely not consume it.
It is recommended to return the product at the point of sale and contact consumer service on 08 00 87 41 87.
A refund will be offered to you. But to do this, you must complete the process before the end of the recall period, i.e. November 15th, 2025.
