A Boeing Bound for Washington Returns Urgently to Roissy Airport Shortly After Takeoff

A United Airlines Boeing, which left Paris for Washington, was forced to turn back while flying over Normandy.

The day before, an Air France Boeing bound for Reunion Island was forced to turn back. If the plane took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport at 5.49pm, Friday 24th October, towards Saint Denis, it had to turn around over Switzerland approximately 45 minutes after departure due to also a technical problem.
