Two more people were missing in Cannes, according to the prefecture.
On the French Riviera, the bad weather over the weekend with torrential rains and floods have killed 20 people and caused considerable damage.
The authorities continue to seek two Germans in the Antibes area and two people in the Cannes area, whose nationality was not specified.
While the results are still preliminary, these floods are already among the most deadly in recent years in France. The June 15, 2010, torrential rains in the Var and especially in Draguignan had 23 dead and two missing and nearly a billion euros of damage.
There is currently approximately still 1800 homes without electricity and the railway traffic is still disrupted today. Both EDF (electricty) and SNCF (railways) are working continuously to try and return services back to normal.
