After Montélimar, a New 3.3 Magnitude Earthquake Felt in Strasbourg

Tremors have just been felt in Strasbourg. The site of the National Seismic Monitoring Network indicates a record of magnitude 3.3

An earthquake has just occurred near Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin). Shocks were felt in the city as well as in Schiltigheim and other nearby cities.

The site of the National Seismic Monitoring Network indicates indeed a recording of magnitude 3.3, occurred at 14:38.

This earthquake occurred on November 12, 2019, when another earthquake, of greater intensity, magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale, took place in the Drôme the day before, Monday 11th November.

The latter has meanwhile injured four, including a serious one, and a nuclear plant had to be shut down. The tremors were felt from Lyon to Montpellier.

The consequences in Strasbourg are not yet known.
