In the second weekend of September, the Foire de Bere arrives in the Town of Châteaubriant, over long weekend.
The event which originally was an animal fair has now developed into a Country animal fair with all the livestock that you would expect, a large display of new and used cars, farming machinery including tractors and combine harvesters, Home improvement stalls with demonstrations, large open market, live events and music and a fun fair with all the usual rides.
Luckily it is open for fourdays as one day is not really enough to take it all in, especially if you stop for the odd beer or refreshment as you go along.
Well worth a visit.
