Filmmaker Jean-Claude Brisseau passed away this Saturday in Paris at the age of 74
Director and screenwriter Jean-Claude Brisseau, author of a dozen films, died this Saturday. He died in a hospital in Paris after a long illness, announced his entourage.
In 2005, he was sentenced by the Paris Criminal Court to one year of suspended imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 euros for “sexual harassment” against two young actresses. He had recently been overtaken by the #MeToo movement, the Cinémathèque canceling the end of 2017 the retrospective she had to devote to it.
