A father in Normandy against compulsory vaccinations

Jacques Bessin, a family man from Lisieux (Calvados), is preparing to send a letter to all MPs about the possible exclusion of unvaccinated children. Details.

He does not fool. Jacques Bessin, a resident of Lisieux (Calvados) father of two children who are not vaccinated is about to send MPs a letter about compulsory vaccination and the possible exclusion of nurseries and schools children whose parents would oppose the law.

“I want my choice respected”

They are thousands of children in France, according to Jacques Bessin, inhabitant of Lisieux and president of the association UNACS (National Union of Citizen Associations of Health) not to be vaccinated. According to the Minister of Health, Agnès Buzyn, eight out of ten children are vaccinated. The legislation  incorporated in the draft Social Security Financing Bill (PLFSS), involves the passage of three compulsory vaccines (diphtheria, tetanus and poliomyelitis (DTP)) to 11.

“My fight has never been against those who decide to vaccinate their children. I always respected their choice. Since 2001, I fight to respect mine, insists Jacques Bessin.”

What makes the Lexovian leap is the words of the Minister, invited by the Grand Jury RTL-LCI-Le Figaro  Sunday, October 22, 2017 who argued that without a vaccine, children could not go to school.

VIDEO. The Minister of Health, Agnès Buzyn defends her compulsory vaccination project:

“Our children, victims of an adult disagreement”

Jacques Bessin does not want to reveal the entirety of the letter that he is going to send to the deputies and to the minister, but supports to Normandie-Actu :

“I ask them: what did our children do to be held hostage as well? They do not ask for anything, they are victims of a disagreement of adults.”

And he goes further: “It’s once again hypocritical what they are about to do. Our unvaccinated children would be too dangerous to go to school or to the nursery but on the other hand we can let them go to the shopping center, the cinema … You have to be serious a little … ”

The father is indignant: “I also write to MPs that they can vote exclusion laws if they wish, we made the mistake of voting for them, but our children will remember … »

A fight since 2001
In 2001, accused of refusing vaccination and ill-treatment of his daughter Ophélie, Jacques Bessin was summoned before a judge to explain his behavior. “My daughter had anorexia in the infant. It was for her good that we decided not to vaccinate her. An expert appraisal is ordered in 2002. In December 2003, Ophélie’s parents went to the expertise with their lawyer, a medical adviser, and various presidents of associations. Jacques Bessin refers to the Kouchner law of 4 March 2002 which authorises the refusal of a medical act. The case ends in a dismissal. “Yes, unfortunately it can not serve as a precedent since there is no judgment …” he had told our confreres of the Awakening of Lisieux. Today, “Ophélie is 17 years old and Valentine is 15 years old: they are very good and are in good health. They have never been vaccinated and have never had problems at school or elsewhere. “
