This Thursday 25th October, at 11.30am, the organisers of the Tour de France unveil the course for the 2019 competition.
The start of the Tour de France 2019 will be held on Saturday 6th July in Brussels . If the program of the first two stages in Belgium is already known, the organisers have announced the entire course of the 106th edition this Thursday 25th October at 11.30am.
100 years of the yellow jersey
In front of a crowd of guests, the organisers recalled as a prelude that next July, the Tour will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the yellow jersey. It was worn for the first time by Eugene Christophe in 1919.
The official presentation takes place in the presence of several great champions of the Tour de France, as Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain.

Four stages in the East
After striding from Belgium, for the fifth time in its history, the Great Loop will arrive in Épernay Monday, July 8, then leave Reims July 9 with an arrival in Nancy.

Then, a stage from Saint-Dié-des-Vosges to Colmar, then from Mulhouse to the famous Planche-des-Belles-Filles, for the first mountain stage of the tour. In total four stages in the East.
In Burgundy-Franche-Comté
Then the cyclists will take the roads of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, with a stage of Belfort in Chalon-sur-Saône on Friday, July 12th. One stage will connect Mâcon to Saint-Etienne.
July 14 in Saint-Etienne
On July 14th, the Tour de France will honour the Stéphanois then the inhabitants of Brioude, where the stage will take place.
In Occitanie and the Pyrenees
The runners will then descend to Occitanie, from Saint-Flour to Albi on July 16th, where they will take their first day off. Many will want to win a victory in Toulouse on July 18th.

The rest will be played in the Pyrenees. Steps to Pau, Tarbes, Bagneres-de-Bigorre, Tourmalet, Limoux and Foix.
In the Alps
Then the 2019 Tour de France will attack the Alps from the Pont du Gard, on July 24th, for a milestone of 206 km.

The riders will have to fight on the passes of the Colibier, the rise of Tignes or that of Val Thorens.
