Lightning struck a house in Normandy, Saturday, April 21, a woman of 48 years was seriously injured.

Lightning hits a house in Ménil-Broût (Orne) Saturday around 8.30pm. A 48-year-old woman was seriously injured. Three other people were taken to the hospital.

The lightning has struck on a house and a wife of 48 years was seriously injured . The facts occurred in the Orne, Saturday 21st April at 8.30pm.

Fire in the attic

The storms were announced in the evening in Normandy and it was the case, Saturday, April 21, 2018, especially in the Orne. Around 8:30 pm, firefighters were called for a fire in the attic of a dwelling house with a floor, at a place called Bonne-Mare.

On site, the fire was quickly controlled.

“Lightning had hit the house and the impact seriously injured a 48-year-old woman who was transported to the hospital Alençon, says one at the Fire and Rescue Operational Center.”



Three others injured

The other three occupants present at the time were slightly injured: a 54-year-old man, a 15-year-old and a 22-year-old. “They also transported to Alençon hospital. ”

The intervention required the presence of 23 firefighters on site.
