IT will be very hot on Friday for the southern two-thirds of the country, according to forecasts from Meteo France. In the Northeast, Lorraine to Alsace to the north of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the air will be heavy, with cloudy skies and a risk of thunderstorms until late afternoon.
Ain, Allier, Isere, Jura, Loire, Puy de Dome, the Rhone and Saône-et-Loire
Eight departments of the central-eastern France were placed in the night from Thursday to Friday on orange alert for heatwave temperatures, according to the latest bulletin of Meteo France.
Relevant departments are Ain, Allier, Isere, Jura, Loire, Puy de Dome, the Rhone and Saône-et-Loire. The end of the event is scheduled no earlier than 3pm on Saturday.

Alert lifted for eight other departments
The orange alert for storms has instead been lifted for the departments of Aisne, Ardennes, Marne, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Seine-Maritime and Somme .
On the rest of the country, the day looks calmer. In regions close to the English Channel and south of the Garonne, the low attendance at the beginning of the day clouds will disintegrate relatively quickly. For against mist will persist locally along the coast of Brittany, Atlantic and around the Gulf of Lion. Elsewhere generous sunshine will dominate all day, in an even warmer and summer atmosphere over most of the country.

From 13 to 37 degrees
The lowest temperatures will vary from 13 to 17 degrees near the channel, they will not fall below 16 to 21 degrees on all regions and from 20 to 23 degrees in Corsica.
Maximum temperatures will be between 21 and 27 near the Channel, 25 and 30 for Brittany to the northern border and on the Atlantic and on the Languedoc coast they reach 30 to 35 degrees to the rest of the northern half, 33-37 degrees on the southern half.
