Several Honda Motorcycles Recalled, they Can Catch Fire: the Models Concerned

Honda brand motorcycles present a manufacturing defect concerning the oil level indicator, indicates a sheet from the RappelConso platform.
Be careful, there is fuel to the fire. These motorcycles from the Japanese brand Honda are currently the subject of a product recall throughout France, warns the site RappelConso this Thursday 15th January 2026.
In question? A problem with the oil level indicator, which could cause a fire. The models concerned are Honda motorcycles CB1000S and CB1000S SPS.
Risk of injury and fire
Due to a manufacturing defect, “the oil level indicator is not working properly”, indicates the product sheet published by RappelConso.
This fault can cause a cascading reaction: “reduction of oil pressure”, then “grabbing of the connecting rod bearing”, and finally “breaking of the connecting rod or [of] locking of the rear wheel”.
In this scenario, the risk accident or fire, potentially caused by “oil spilled on a hot silencer”, is very real.
In order to know if your vehicle is at risk, you need to check the European approval number of the motorcycle. This code is located in box K of your carte grise (registration document) : e4168/201300184*00.
If you are the owner of an affected motorcycle, RappelConso recommends that you contact dealer.
