Hauts-de-Seine: The Largest Christmas Market in the Region is Taking up Residence

CHRISTMAS: For several weeks, magic will take over the La Défense square with the opening of the Christmas market
he La Défense Christmas Market (Hauts-de-Seine) returns from the 13th November to the 28th December 2025 for its 30th edition. Located on the square at the foot of the Grande Arche, it has established itself as the largest Christmas market in Île-de-France, welcoming more than 1.5 million visitors each year, as recalled Going out in Paris.
This year, more than 300 chalets will offer crafts, gastronomy and gift ideas over 13,000 m² to dazzle visitors, young and old. Between wine and hot chocolate, local products and French artisanal creations, it will also be possible to enjoy a ice rink of 540 m² open from day one under a sparkling decor.
Entertainment, magic and Santa Claus
The program for this highly anticipated Christmas market promises to be rich: street shows, creative workshops, musicians and DJ sets will liven up the aisles. Santa Claus will be present daily in an illuminated house to welcome children. On weekends, a family area will offer makeup, reading and fun activities.
On the practical side, the market is accessible by metro line 1, RER A, tramway T2 or several bus lines. It is also possible to get there by car and park in the CNIT or Quatre Temps car parks. Market access is completely free and all information is available on the official event website.
