The Brivet Watershed Union restored 7.6 km of waterways in 2025, strengthening ecosystems and reducing the risk of flooding. Cost of the operation: 400,000€.
The work carried out by the Brivet Watershed Union (SBVB) has just been completed for this year 2025! From August to early October, the teams worked on several rivers in the watershed, taking advantage of ideal weather conditions for access for machines to the plots.
“This year, 7.6 km of waterways were restored to bring natural environments back to life”, says Justine Malgogne, head of the aquatic environments division.
A restoration whose total cost amounts to more than 400,000€.

Before these operations, selective cutting of bank vegetation was carried out under the management of the SBVB in order to facilitate the completion of the work.
The projects concerned the streams of the Gatepaille bridge in Bouvron, the Basse-ville in Quilly, the Indève in Campbon and the Châtelier in Saint-andré-des-eaux.
“These valuable ecosystems play key roles for everyone, including naturally contributing to the purification of water quality. ”
