SEVERE WINDS: The first storm of autumn, Storm Amelie is expected in the night from Saturday to Sunday on the Atlantic Coast
Take out the umbrellas and sweaters … The storm Amélie will approach the French coast in the second part of the night from Saturday to Sunday. Sunday morning stormy winds are expected over the southwest of the country.
According to the forecasts of Meteo France, this weekend of All Saints’ day promises indeed particularly rainy. And this Sunday, as a bonus, should end with gusts of winds of 110 to 120 km/h, or 130 km/h locally, on the Atlantic coast.

Some thunderstorms could be invited especially on the axis going from the Aveyron to the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Météo France has placed nine South West departments in yellow vigilance for “thunderstorms”. This is also the case for the West of France.
