The President of the Republic had cancelled his speech originally scheduled Monday 15th April, because of the fire occurred in Notre-Dame de Paris.
He had promised to speak “in due time”. Emmanuel Macron will finally announce his answers to the great national debate at a press conference Thursday 25th April, 2019 at 6pm, announces the Elysee Palace on Friday.
The president was originally to address the nation in a televised speech on Monday, April 15, but it was cancelled because of the fire in Notre-Dame de Paris.
In the aftermath of the drama, Emmanuel Macron had spoken to the French on Tuesday , saying: “I will come back to you as I was engaged in the coming days, so that we can act following our great debate. But the moment has not come yet.
The press conference on Thursday 25th April will thus replace this missed speech, and will be followed by a question-and-answer exchange with the journalists.
