At the end of the day, the amount for all the words you have typed is automatically debited from your account. To get an idea, a message of 174 characters is charged $ 1.46, or 1.28 euros.

“It’s a social experience to see what happens at a chat room when it’s not free, since every message costs you cash,” said messenger designer Marc Köhlbrugge. But “Expensive Chat” is above all a “fun way” to raise money. “To be honest, the reason I launched it, it is because I thought it would be a fun way to make me some money,” he said in Motherboard site .
