Diane Le Roux, a 22-year-old girl from Orvault (Loire-Atlantique) was chosen as Miss Pays de la Loire on Friday 28th September, at Les Sables-d’Olonne, among the fifteen women candidates. She will represent the region at the Miss France election on December 15 in Lille.
The crown of Miss Pays de la Loire left the Vendée to join the Loire-Atlantique. Yesterday evening, Friday, September 28, in Les Sables-d’Olonne, the Olonnaise Chloé Guémard sent her title to Diane Le Roux, Orvault. The 22-year-old girl was chosen from among the fifteen candidates to become the ambassador of the region.
In wedding dress, swimsuit or evening dress, the postulants competed with elegance to seduce the 800 or so spectators of the Atlantes and the jury. With, inevitably, a little stress under the rhinestones.
It was not until midnight that the verdict was known. Maëva Coucke, Miss France 2018, handed the crown to Diane Le Roux, 1.83 m, student in the second year of the master’s degree “Purchase and international trade” in Paris. Elected second runner-up of Miss Pays de la Loire, in Gorron (Mayenne), last year, she reached, this time, the highest step of the podium.
“It’s a lot of emotion, at once joy, fear and worry,” she smiles. The year promises to be hectic. Next step: Mauritius for the preparation trip to the Miss France election to be held in Lille on December 15th. Diane Le Roux, however, keeps her feet on the ground. “My goal is to finish my studies and then work in a cosmetics company. While assuring my role of Miss. “
As for the Vendéennes, Claire Lucas, of Sainte-Hermine, finished 3rd runner-up and Andréa Galland, of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, first runner-up.
