This Thursday, les Bleus have beaten Peru for the second group match (1-0) and have qualified for the knockout stages of World Cup 2018.

After a hard game against Australia, we were waiting for les Bleus at the turn. And they were more or less at the rendezvous fo rtheir second match of World Cup 2018, this Thursday 21st June, against Peru,  in the stadium Yekaterinburg. They won 1 – 0, with a goal from young Kylian Mbappé in the 34th minute. They are thus qualified for the knockout stages of the competition .

The French had the free field, after the draw between Australia and Denmark. Very tense at their first meeting with the Australians, they appeared more relaxed and more fluid. The guys and their experience have visibly softened the game Didier Deschamps had chosen to line up a classic team, starting Olivier Giroud tip and Blaise Matuidi in the middle, at the expense of Ousmane Dembele and Corentin Tolisso, little decisive on June 16th.

Goal of Kylian Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé scored the only goal of the match, extending a shot by Olivier Giroud against a South American defender, shortly after the biggest Peruvian opportunity, a point-blank shot by Paolo Guerrero repulsed by Hugo Lloris (30).

Already qualified, the French will play against Denmark, on Tuesday 26th June, to consolidate their first place in Group C.
