France was waiting for this decision from the IFAB to bring the video in definitely in his football. Starting next season, the VAR will be introduced in Ligue 1. “The use of a video referee has been tested on more than 1,000 matches since 2016,” the IFAB said at its congress.
⚽ HISTORIC DECISION: The IFAB`s General Assembly has just approved Video Assistant Referees to be used on a permanent basis. The VAR system has been trialled over the past two years in almost 1,000 football matches.
