MOBILE: Razer, the specialist in PC and peripherals for gamers just introduced the Razer Phone. A smartphone with a 120 Hz IPS screen …
Earlier this year, Razer, the specialist in PC and peripherals for Gamers purchased Nextbit, a small manufacturer of smartphones to whom we owe the Robin. Result – as expected – a smartphone designed for players has just been unveiled. The Razer Phone has some nice features that allow it to differentiate itself from the competition.
Let’s start with the design. It shows the identity of the Californian brand. We find a matte black unibody chassis, the set is very angular, almost solid. The fingerprint reader is positioned on the edge. The front has an IGZO LCD display of 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Razer has not integrated slab edge to edge, certainly for reasons of cost, but also to facilitate handling. In return, it has two front speakers for stereo sound THX certified.
However, the most important feature is the LCD panel. Its refresh rate is 120 Hz against 60 Hz typically. This should increase the feeling of fluidity, either in games or in the interface. For the rest of the specs include a Snapdragon processor 835, supported by 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also has a double 12 megapixel sensor aperture of f / 1.7 and f / 2.6 and a battery of 4000 mAh.
Its launch in France on November 17 for a price of 749 €.
