The first stage of Tour de France starts this Saturday 1st July in Düsseldorf, Germany. The 22 teams in the peloton have to race against the clock individually, in the individual time trial over 13 km without major difficulty, racing around the streets of the city, known as “Little Paris” because of its activities in the ready-to-wear fashion market.
The individual time trial against the clock will come on the quays along the Rhine, and the bridges that span it.
Dusseldorf, with a population of 620,000 inhabitants of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, welcomes for the first time the riders of the Tour de France, and are sure to make it a fantastic and memorable occassion.
