Valtteri Bottas won the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Russia in the 4th round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Starrting from the first line of the grid, the Ferrari drivers were favorites. At first, the Finn Valtteri Bottas surprised everyone by overtaking the Ferrari! The Mercedes driver controlled much of the race, but Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) has taken the bull by the horns closing the gap within the closing stages of the race.   Bottas managed to resist in the closing laps to get his first victory of his career!

Valtteri Bottas scored his coup! The Finn won the Grand Prix of Russia while he was starting from third on the grid. Sebastian Vettel started on pole, and although he managed to make a great recovery, failed to overtake the Finn in the final laps. Bottas, aged 27, won the first Grand Prix of his career in Formula 1!

This is a first for nine years and the GP of Russia, two cars from Ferrari on the first two place of the starting grid. Sebastian Vettel, in pole and Kimi Räikkönen starting next to him in front of the Mercedes. A short-lived joy because from the start Ferrari have lost their advantage! Starting third, Valtteri Bottas went like a rocket and took control of the Grand Prix! The Finn had an excellent first stint.

But the world championship leader Sebastian Vettel had an excellent end to the race as his tyres were in a better condition. The duel for victory was played between these two drivers! But the Mercedes driver maintained his advantage to get the first win of his career.
