Line A and line B of the future metro in Rennes will be equipped with 3G/4G to enable users to call and to download data on their mobile phones without any interruption. The plan, which is estimated to cost 10 million euros, will cost nothing to Rennes Cesson TDF because it is a neutral operator, who will install a system to Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free.
The Rennes metro (Line A and Line B) will be equipped with 3G and 4G to enable users to call and to download data on their mobile phones. The implementation process will be proposed to be elected to Rennes at the next community council.

This was confirmed this Thursday evening, Emmanuel Couet, president of Rennes: “This is a new service and highly anticipated by users. It will enrich and enhance the travel time. Telephony and internet are almost universal services to which everyone must have access, as widely as possible. This is another offer that comes enhance the attractiveness of our transportation system in common. ”
Best of all, installation, estimated at 10 million euros, will cost nothing to the community because it’s TDF, a neutral operator, who will install a system for the signals of mobile operators are received by users. TDF will pay with Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free.
From June 2017
The choice of TDF was logical for Emmanuel Couet: “TDF is an established company for four decades on our territory. It employs several hundred people at its site in Cesson-Sevigne.
