The tribunal de grande instance (TGI) Nanterre, and its annex, situated to the west of Paris, was evacuated early on Monday afternoon because of a bomb threat that the police received by telephone, we have learned from police sources.
“A man who said at 2.30pm the TGI building would blow up”
The police received a telephone call “at 1.30pm. by a man who said that at 2.30pm the TGI building would blow up”, reported the source, confirming a report in Le Parisien. The building of the Tribunal Grande Instance and its annex were evacuated and an area surrounding the building cordoned off, pending the intervention of the bomb squad.
“Between 25 and 30 defendants were evacuated from the building under police guard,” said the source.
