Here is the school calendar for the 2016-2017 year for all the three zones in France …
Zone A: The academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Poitiers and Lyon.
Zone B: The academies of Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg.
Zone C: The academies of Créteil academies, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.
First Day of class: Thursday 1 September 2016
Thanksgiving holiday: from Wednesday, 19 October (end of course) to Wednesday, November 2 included. Resumed on Thursday.
Christmas holidays: from Saturday December 17 to Monday, January 2 inclusive. Resumed on Tuesday.
Winter vacation :
Zone A : Saturday, February 18 to Sunday, March 5
Zone B : from Saturday 11 to Sunday, February 26
Zone C : Saturday February 4 to Sunday, February 19
Spring Break :
Zone A: Saturday, April 15 to Monday, May 1st. Resumed on Tuesday.
Zone B: Saturday, April 8 to Sunday, April 23
Zone C: from Saturday 1 April to Monday 17th April. Resumed on Tuesday.
The end of the school year is Saturday, July 8th. This year, like last year, all academies will close for Ascension in May and schools will be closed on Thursday 25 and Friday, May 26
