Shots have been fired at a primary school in Grenoble

Students were confined after the events at 1.30pm ….

Three explosions were heard. Tuesday, shortly before 1.30 pm, gunshots were fired at the front of the Ampere primary school in Grenoble, Isere, no injuries have been reported.

The actively sought shooter

Then witnesses allegedly saw the shooter of the gunshots, who then fled on foot, reports the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré.  As soon as the warning was given, the teachers of the school then confined students as safe as possible within the school.

The police, who quickly responded and arrived at the scene, have found cartons of ammunition on the pavement and a gunshot impacts on the school wall, said the regional daily.  The shooter is still actively being sought by the police, who have appealed for witnesses to come forward, for the investigation that has now been opened.
