Snow and Ice: 15 Departments Placed in Orange Alert

Traffic will be more difficult. Fifteen departments are now on orange alert “snow and ice” according to the bulletin of Météo France broadcast on Monday morning.

L’Allier, the Aude, the Cher, the Indre and Hérault are in addition to the departments that were in vigilance since Sunday (Aveyron, Cantal, Corrèze, Ille-et-Vilaine, Indre-et-Loire, Maine -and-Loire, Manche, Mayenne, Orne and Sarthe). Weather France adds that the Calvados is removed from the list of monitored departments.

This snowfall is “not exceptional” but will make the difficult traffic conditions, warned on Sunday Météo France.
