Just finished a lot of the preparation work on part of the roof, over a section which will eventually be our new kitchen. It took longer than I expected as I have had to replace most of the wooden structure but I am sure it will be worth it in the end. Hopefully in the next few days I can start to put the Slate tiles on this section before moving up to the upper part of the house where the bedrooms currently are, and I have also got to put in some new Velux windows in this section, again another job that I haven’t done before so it really is a steep learning curve, but we persevere.
