Emmanuel Macron will be in Nice on the 14th July, one year after the deadly attack occurred on the Promenade des Anglais. The coming of the President of the Republic to the commemorative ceremonies of the attack was announced on Saturday by Interior Minister.
Gérard Collomb, accompanied by Minister of Action and the Public Accounts Gerald Darmanin made the pledge during a meeting with the association “Promenade des Anges” , a group of victims of the attack which left 86 dead and numerous injured.
Estrosi demand new measures
Asked about the suppression in the new government of the Secretary of State dedicated to the victims, the Interior Minister assured them that “the Minister of Justice [would] support in a strong way their problem.”
“We had the impression to be heard, now we will see in the facts,” said Emilie Petitjean, President of Promenade des Anges.

During an interview with two members of the government, the mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi (LR) has also expressed its willingness today blocked by the CNIL (Commission Nationale Informatique et des Libertés) to set up several safety devices.
Among these devices, face a facial recognition software and an alarm button in schools to transfer, in case of intrusion, video-surveillance images of a school to an urban monitoring center.
