Quantities of fuel delivered from petrol stations are limited to 20 litres for light vehicles (under 3.5 tonnes) and 50 litres for trucks in the Mayenne department.
Due to blockages of fuel distribution centers and to allow as many people access to the petrol stations, as well as keeping some in reserve for the emergency services, the prefect of the Mayenne has taken a number of measures to temporarily regulate the volume of fuel that can be purchased.
The fuel quantities delivered at service stations are limited to 20 litres for light vehicles (under 3.5 tonnes) and 50 litres for trucks. The purchase of petrol or diesel in portable containers (jerry type container) is prohibited.
By a requisition order, fuel stocks are reserved in the service stations, for the benefit of emergency vehicles, police and other prioritaires. Customers will be able to continure to purchase from the stations until they hit the requistioned levels, when they will suspend service until new deliveries.
To enable the delivery of fuel to the petrol stations during the weekend, a decree of the prefect also authorizes the movement of fuel transport vehicles on the 21st and 22nd May. The prefect appeals to the sense of responsibility of everyone until stocks return to normal.
