A violent explosion occurred this Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in a building in Nonancourt, a commune in the Eure, Normandy
Two people were injured and one is missing according to police.

“A person, who was in the next room from where the explosion occurred was injured and hospitalized in Dreux, although it is understood that the injuries are not life threatening. Another, who was in the apartment where the explosion occurred, had to be recovered from the rubble, and although was suffering from shock, has not sustained any serious injury” explained the police.
One more person is missing, and although they are continuing search the building, it is thought they were not present inside the building at the time of the explosion.
“This is not an attack and this accident, looks initially like an explosion probably due to gas” commented the fire brigade.
Thirty people were evacuated after the explosion.
Significant resources were deployed, “including forty firefighters and at least three helicopters of Civil Security and Smur are deployed there,” according to Normandy News.
