Canned lentils from the D’Aucy brand, which can be found everywhere in supermarkets, are the subject of a national recall. They may be “unfit for consumption”.

Whether for counteract extreme heat with a nice refreshing salad, to make sure sufficient intake of alternative proteins to meat or for pure pleasure, many of us consume regularly lentils. Especially since they can also be found in cans – and it’s very practical.

Have you bought any recently? Be vigilant: cans from the popular D’Aucy brand, sold at Carrefour, Cora, Leclerc and Système U, are the subject of a national reminder.

On sale for three months

As usual, it is RappelConso which echoes this massive shrinkage of the rays. In a sheet published Thursday 25th June 2026, the government platform provides more information on the canned goods concerned.

It is like this prepared lentil boxes of 265 grams, from the D’Aucy brand, whose batch number is 1822 L:K2C049 and GTIN (or barcode) is 3017800078853. You also need to mark it on the packaging the minimum durability date (the words “best before…” followed by a date) following: 09/30/2030.

The recalled preserves were on shelves from April 13 to June 24, 2026 in all stores Carrefourr, Cora, Leclerc and System U of France.

A “degradation of the product” in question

The reason for this recall? “It exists a risk of loss of waterproofing at the level of the box lid, driving a “degradation of the product (appearance, taste, smell…), [making it] unfit for consumption”, replies the Rappel Conso.

These products have been manufactured and/or stored in conditions that do not provide satisfactory health guarantees. These products are therefore likely to present a danger to the health of consumers.

Do you have one of these canned goods in your cupboards? If you started it, throw it away immediately. If the box is intact, return it to the point of sale to obtain one refund.
