A working Apple 1 computer from 1976 for sale on eBay for $ 1.5 million

COMPUTER HISTORY: The seller says on the ad that the computer was built by the founders of the apple brand, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak

An advertisement for an Apple computer from 1976 has just been posted on eBay. The legendary Apple-1 is offered by its owner at a price of 1.5 million dollars, reports IGN, relayed by 01net.

The computer in question was allegedly purchased second-hand in 1978 from a computer store in Canada. It has since been stored in very good conditions. The ad mentions that the device was built by  Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak themselves. At the time, the latter produced only 200 copies of the Apple 1.

The seller also states that the device works perfectly, which is quite rare for a computer of this age. It features the original Koa wood case. The latter comes from the Byte Shop, the first computer hardware store in history and the first to market the Apple-1. The motherboard has not been modified.

In 2019, an Apple 1 computer was auctioned off by the British house Christie’s. Bought 666 dollars (597 euros) in 1976, it was snapped up for 371,260 pounds (422,000 euros).
