Roland-Garros: Benoît Paire Through to the Last 16, a First

Benoît Paire, the only French player to win this Friday 31st May, 2019 will play his first round of the last 16 at Roland-Garros.

Benoit Paire (38th ) qualified Friday 31st May, 2019 for last 16 of the finals of Roland Garros , his best result, after beating his opponent, Spaniard Pablo Carreño (57th ) .

He will next face Japanese Kei Nishikori (7th ), winner of the Serbian Laslo Djere (32nd ) 6-4, 6-7 (6/8), 6-3, 4-6, 8-6.

His opponent hit a thigh

The Frenchman led two innings to one (6-2, 4-6, 7-6) when the Spaniard, who had just been massaged, decided to give up.

The Avignonnais, two days after his marathon match against Pierre-Hugues Herbert (5 sets and more than 4:30), has benefited from a shortened match.
