“Downton Abbey”: First Trailer for the Film

The successful British series, Downton Abbey will be adapted into a film, released on September 25th, 2019. The Crawley family learns that it will receive the visit of the royal family.

Notice to Downton Abbey fans ! Four years after the sixth and final season, the successful British series will be adapted into film for the cinema. And the latter is partly to unveil, Tuesday 21st May, 2019, through a first trailer

A new adventure awaits the rich Crawley family : they will receive the King and Queen of England! The film, directed by Michael Engler who had already worked on the series between 2014 and 2016, promises to bring together all the actors embodying the key characters of the plot, including Maggie Smith as the Dowager Duchess.

Popular series actors on the bill

The latter, well known to fans of Harry Potter (she plays Professor McGonagall), will also be in Downton Abbey’s film another star figure in the saga of JK Rowling, Imelda Staunton (the interpreter of Dolores Umbridge) . Other actors of popular series will also be part of the English campaign, such as Kate Phillips (The Peaky Blinders, The Crown ) and Tuppence Middleton ( Sense8 ).
