14th July: Here is the programme of events for Pouancé to celebrate Bastille day
Just got hold of the programme for the upcoming Bastille day celebrations in the town of Pouancé in the Ombrée d’Anjou on the 14th of July.
The events are taking place on the edge of the water at the Pré de la Fuye, with the Chateau of Pouancé overlooking in the background. On the grass early in the evening, starting around 8.30pm, everyone is invited to bring along a picnic and enjoy the evening sunshine whilst listing to a band ‘Crokenjambe’ who sing traditional French classic songs.
At 9.45pm, children are invited to the Mairie to collect a lantern ready for a parade which will commence at 10.15pm from the Mairie and then led by the local band will march down the main street of Pouancé and into the grassed area at Pré de la Fuye.
The Firework display is due to start at 11pm.
