880 passengers evacuated from SNCF Paris Toulouse Train

Saturday 27th October, 2018, the 880 passengers of an SNCF Intercités train circulating between Paris and Toulouse were evacuated, in Creuse, following a false alert to the suspicious package.

The passengers of the Intercités  3645 train , which ran from  Paris Austerlitz  to  Toulouse Matabiau , will probably remember this journey for a long time … On Saturday 27 October 2018, about three hours after the departure of the train,  880 passengers were evacuated at the La Souterraine station , around 17:30, in the department of Creuse .

An abandoned luggage

The reason ? The presence of a suspicious package , an abandoned suitcase that has not found ownership, despite several calls from the SNCF , reports France Bleu Creuse , who reports the facts. The Vigipirate plan was then applied, thus leading to the interruption of the traffic, the time of the intervention of the specialised teams.




Survival blankets

While waiting for a bomb disposal operation to be carried out, because of the cool temperatures,  the passengers were gathered in a cultural center of the municipality, located a few hundred meters from the station. Water, hot drinks and survival blankets were distributed.
