The police stopped a Volkswagen Golf type car on the D20, this Sunday 13th August at 5.45pm. This is the third speeding over 170 km/h observed in the extended holiday weekend of August 15th in Mayenne.
Sunday at 5.45pm, the motorized brigade of Chateau-Gontier stopped a Volkswagen Golf type of car at a speed of 178 km/h instead of 90 km/h on secondary road, the D20 by Chemazé. The driver, a call center agent of 26 years residing in Orvault, was also traveling without a license. They will later be summoned to court to answer for their actions.
This is the third driver caught speeding excessively by the gendarmerie at speeds over 170 km/h during the extended holiday weekend of the 15th August. Friday night in St. Ouën-des-Roofs, the motorized platoon of Laval intercepted a motorcycle at 175 km/ h instead of 110 and Sunday already, another bike was caught speeding at 208 km/h instead of 90 near ‘Ernee.
The controls are maintained until the end of the special holiday weekend and especially for Tuesday 15th August for the returns in the afternoon from those who have gone on holiday.
