Joni Sledge was 60 years old. With her sisters Kim, Debbie and Kathy, the singer had a huge success in 1979 with the song “We are family” :
Joni Sledge was found dead at his home in Phoenix Friday. She died in circumstances which have not been specified. She was not sick before.

The group Sister Sledge was always active, even if the peak of his success took place in the years of the 70’s and 80’s. A European tour was even for spring and summer.
Sisters Joni and Debbie, Kathy and Kim, two daughters of the artists grew up in Philadelphia and had made a reputation by singing R & B in the 1970s.
