NOSTALGIA: “Pretty Little Baby” by Connie Francis was acclaimed this year by users of the Chinese platform, ahead of “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne and “Rock That Body” by the Black Eyed Peas

If TikTok helped reveal new hits, it also brought back into the light classics from the previous decade… and even the 60s. Its ranking of the titles most used in 2025 by its users reveals that it is the song “Pretty Little Baby” by singer Connie Francis, released in 1962, which was the most popular on the application, as reported BFMTV.

“I am amazed”

In total, the song has been used over 28 million times. All the publications in which she appears have 68.6 billion views. One of them, a video of Kylie Jenner with his daughter Stormy, has alone totaled more than 132 million views.

“Pretty Little Baby” began mass use on TikTok last May. A chance for Connie Francis, who was able to witness the surprise return of her title just before her death, which occurred on July 16, 2025 at the age of 87. “I am amazed and delighted by the enormous enthusiasm that my piece arouses […] around the world. Knowing that new generations of listeners are taking ownership of a song recorded 63 years ago is truly incredible to me. Thank you TikTok”, she declared in a video posted on the Chinese platform.

Between pop, Latin and nostalgia

Beyond this classic, the 2025 ranking of the most used music on TikTok also gives pride of place to songs released this year or at the end of last year. Among them are many Latin sounds and rhythms, such as “Azul” by J Balvin, “Te Quería Ver” by Alemán & Neto Peña, or the now famous “Dame Un Grrr” by Fantomel x Kate Linn. More unusual, an Indonesian title appears in the ranking (“Secu Stecu” by Faris Adam).

Pop has also been used in all its forms, with “APT.” by Rosé & Bruno Mars, “Anxiety” by Doechii, or “Sailor Song” by Gigi Perez. Finally, a certain nostalgia has taken hold of users, since the two other titles to appear on the 2025 TikTok podium date from the 2010s: “Hold My Hand” by Jess Glynne released in 2015, and “Rock That Body” by Black Eyed Peas (2010).
