1980s British Singer and Model Nick Kamen is Dead

Nick Kamen, British star of the 80s, has died at the age of 59.

He was Madonna’s protege. With his tubes calibrated for the dance floors and his beautiful face, Nick Kamen had marked the 1980s. He died at 59 years old.

With him, a small part of the 80s are gone. British singer and model Nick Kamen is dead, several English newspapers report. He was 59 years old.

Nick Kamen was the protégé of MadonnaLevi’s laundry model, a singer with fiery eyes and a domesticated rebellious wick.

His steamy commercial debut

Born in Essex, real name Ivor Neville Kamen, he made a name for himself as a handsome kid in an advertisement for Levis 501 in 1985, in which he undressed in a laundromat to music by Marvin Gaye.


An advertisement that quickly made him a sex symbol and caught Madonna’s attention.

The first song was written by Madonna

It is besides the interpreter of Like a virgin, then at the top of the charts, which will put the foot in the stirrup by writing to him a song which would become an international hit in 1986: Each time you break my heart.


Then, in 1990,  I promised myself will be released, which will also rank there in the international charts, including the French Top50.

Many friends have paid tribute to him on social media, including Culture Club singer Boy George.

Nick Kamen announced a little over two years ago that he was suffering from cancer.
