Disrupted season
Semi-finalist at Flushing Meadows in 2016, the 33-year-old experienced a 2019 season largely disrupted by injuries.
He dropped out in the first round at Wimbledon and dropped out in Miami, Monte Carlo and Washington because of an injury to his left ankle. He also dropped out in Auckland for a left-leg injury and Marseille with a right wrist injury.
