Porsche unveiled its first 100% electric sports car. This 4-door sedan combines performance worthy of a Porsche. Its price starts at more than 155,000 euros.
The first models of the new range are the Taycan Turbo S and the Taycan Turbo . These two Taycan models represent the technological leader in the Porsche EPerformance concept and are among the most powerful series models in the current Porsche range.
Other models, less powerful than these two all-wheel drive versions , will follow this year. And, at the end of next year, a new version of the sporting electric will appear on the market: the Taycan Cross Turismo .

When performance rhymes with efficiency
The Taycan Turbo S, the flagship of the range, develops up to 761 hp with Launch Control and reaches 100 km/h in 2”8. The Taycan Turbo delivers a maximum power of 680 hp with a 0 to 110 in 3”2. The Turbo S has a range of up to 412 km, the autonomy of the Turbo model is 450 km maximum (WLTP cycle). The top speed of both AWD models is 260 km/h.
The Taycan is the first mass-produced vehicle powered by 800 V system voltage, instead of the usual 400 V on current electric models. This electric feature has an advantage on the road: it takes a little more than five minutes on a fast charging DC terminal to ensure a range of up to 100 km (WLTP cycle).
Innovative engine and two-speed gearbox
The Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo are each equipped with two high-efficiency electric motors. With one engine mounted on the rear axle and another on the front axle, the Taycan benefits from an all-wheel drive.
The two-speed gearbox mounted on the rear wheel is also a Porsche innovation. The first gear is a short gear that provides a tremendous acceleration from a standstill. The second gear is much longer to bring the Taycan at a very high speed.
The car has two luggage compartments: at the front, the storage volume is 81 litres, at the rear, 366 litres.
The Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo are available for sale at 189,152 and 155,552 euros respectively.
