Laces her sports shoes by voice command: this is the novelty of the come back that offers the Nike brand with its new model connected basketball Huarache.
“Say, Siri, can you lace up my shoes? This kind of request will soon become reality with a new model of sneakers and connected freaks launched Friday 13th September 2019 by Nike.
After putting on the market last February its first self-athletic sports shoes, the Nike Adapt BB (directly inspired by the sneakers of Back to the Future II ), the American firm offers a new connected model, the Nike Adapt Huarache, compatible with … Siri, the voice assistant of Apple.
How does Nike Adapt Huarache work?
The Huarache, a neoprene shoe inspired by water ski slippers, is an iconic model that arrived in 1991 on the market.
By combining the FitAdapt technology used for the Adapt BB, Nike revisits the shoe by adding the automatic lacing, thanks to a small motor placed at mid-foot, which pulls on the laces.
With the great novelty of being able to order the lacing with Siri, since the Apple Watch or its Iphone, as the announcement announces the American company in a release.
Diodes that change colour
As for the previous model, once the shoes paired with the application Nike Adapt, it is possible to record different levels of tightening, vary its adjustments depending on its activity and choose the different colours of the two diodes placed in the sole of the shoe.
In a statement, Nike points out:
“The latest version of FitAdapt allows for a wider range of personal preferences in a variety of environments and situations – a key revolution given the versatile nature of contemporary lifestyle footwear.”
The Nike Adapt Huarache will be available from September 13 at Nike and some dealers. The comma mark does not give any tariff at the moment.
