Presented at the last Geneva Motor Show, the Subaru XV e-Boxer and Forester e-Boxer will soon arrive in French dealerships.
These two Subaru e-Boxer , Forester and XV , will be offered in the three usual finishes (Comfort, Premium and Luxury) at the respective base price of € 33,990 and € 36,990 and deliverable from November 2019.
They will be equipped with the same hybrid powertrain that combines a Boxer engine (a clean flat architecture Subaru) 2-litre gasoline 150 HP to an electric motor delivering 17 hp (12.3 kW).
With a combined power of 167 hp, the powertrain provides better performance and recovery compared to the current 2-litre gasoline engine while allowing a fuel economy of up to 11% in urban traffic.
Facial recognition on the Forester e-Boxer
Designed on the new SGP platform, the Forester e-Boxer is a new model. More spacious than the current generation, it offers a cabin equipped with the latest connectivity technologies. Its overall width has been increased by 20 mm to provide more comfort to the front seats and an even wider luggage compartment. The wheelbase has been extended by 30 mm, increasing the space between the front and rear seats by 33 mm.
Among the many novelties present on the Forester e-Boxer is a new system of facial recognition that allows to automatically adjust the preferences of the driver settings but also to warn him in case of signs of inattention or drowsiness.
Very richly equipped
The Forester e-Boxer and XV e-Boxer models feature entry-level standard features such as the EyeSight driver assistance system that includes adaptive cruise control, automatic braking if there is a risk of collision, the lane departure warning, the vehicle avoidance assistance, the driving assistant in the traffic jams.
Of course, like all Subaru models, the new Forester and XV with e-Boxer engines enjoy a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
