ROAD SAFETY: A motorist in on the D511 in Calvados has been caught speeding at 159 km/h in a 80 km/h zone
Saturday 6th April, 2019, around 9:30 pm, during a speed control on the departmental road D511, near Martigny-sur-l’Ante, near Falaise (Calvados), the gendarmes arrested a motorist who was driving at 159 km/h. At this point, the maximum speed allowed is 80 km/h.
This is called a big speeding ticket. Saturday 6th April, around 9:30 pm, the gendarmerie company of Falaise carried out speed checks on RD511, between Pont-d’Ouilly and Falaise. Review of the races, a motorist controlled well above 80 km/h allowed.
Flashed at 159 km/h, almost twice the authorised speed, the driver was removed his license for a period of six months. He will appear in May, before the Criminal Court of Caen, to answer for his actions.
