TF1 is betting on American football. For the first time, the Superbowl will be broadcast on the first channel on Sunday 3rd February. This 53rd NFL World Cup Finals will be held in Atlanta and will feature two of these four teams: Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams.
The Superbowl was broadcast since 2010 on W9, the channel of TNT M6 group. The TF1 group announced that it bought back the rights last October, without specifying yet on which channel it would retransmit. “Rallying hundreds of millions of fans every year around the world, the Super Bowl is a major sporting event, one of the most watched in the world.
This agreement is a first for the TF1 group and is part of its ambitious policy of broadcasting international events, ” the group said .
