Despite a slight increase in the number of unemployed in October, the unemployment rate in the Pays de la Loire fell 2.2% in the last three months, according to figures released this Friday 24th November, by the Ministry of Labour and the Pole Emploi …
In October, the number of job seekers in the pays de la Loire, registered with Pôle Emploi in category A (no activity) amounted to 167,210 or 610 people more than in September (0, 4%). This number, however, is down 2.2%, or 3,730 people, if we look at the figures over the last three months.
Compared with September, the unemployment rate in October (category A) decreased in Loire-Atlantique (- 0.4%) and Mayenne (- 1%), but increased in Sarthe (+ 0.8%) in vendee (+ 1.2%), and Maine-et-Loire (+ 1%).
In all of the Pays de la Loire, in three months, the number of job seekers Class A decreased 2.9% for men (- 0.1% over a month – 2.8% year on year ) and 1.5% for women (+ 0.8% on month and 1.4% over a year).
