The horror. On the night of Friday to Saturday, a woman in her thirties was struck on a country road between Remungol Moréac and south of Pontivy in Brittany. The driver of the vehicle continued driving, dragging the body of the young woman for five kilometers, reports Ouest-France. The victim did not survive.

The driver, a 60 year old, who was driving to work, confessed to police that he was conscious of having hit something. But he was far from imagining that it was a woman, who was returning from a night out with friends. Alerted by the noise in the vehicle, he stopped after several kilometers. Discovering the horror, he alerted the police.
The driver alcohol testing was negative. That night, visibility was particularly bad due to heavy fog, adds Ouest-France. A judicial investigation was opened. The driver was indicted for manslaughter.
