The Allocation de Rentrée Scolaire will be paid on the 17th August 2017

The Allocation de Rentrée Scolaire or school allowance, which helps parents with modest incomes to pay for the binders and other supplies, will be paid to more than 2.8 million families from the 17th August, announced Tuesday by the Ministry of Education.

As announced under the previous Government, Back to School Allowance, the Allocation de Rentrée Scolaire (ARS) amounted to 364.09 euros for children 6 to 10 years, 384.17 euros for children 11 to 14 years and 397.49 euros for children 15 to 18 years, the statement of the ministry.

ARS automatically paid to parents of children aged 6 to 15 years

Parents of modest -whose incomes below 24,404 euros for a child, 30 036 euros for two children, 35 668 euros for three children in charge-and whose children 6 to 18 attend school, may claim the LRA to meet the cost of school.



The parents of children 6 to 15 years will have no approach to accomplish, the Caisses d’allocations familiales (CAF) automatically pay the ARS to the families who qualify. For children entering CP this year but who are six years old in 2018, the family will need to recover the tuition certificate from the school and send it to the CAF, the statement added.

As for the parents of teenagers 16 to 18 years, they will not have the obligation to provide a tuition voucher: simply confirm their online site www.caf.fr their child is still in school, student or apprentice for September 2017. In Reunion and Mayotte, the payment of the ARS will take place on Thursday.
